VIP interior completion center Greenpoint Technologies is celebrating its 30th year in the industry. The company has delivered more than 40 interior modification projects and employs more than 300 people.
“Greenpoint’s 30-year story is a testament to our people, the teamwork we demonstrate, and our customers who trust us to deliver on our promise,” said Jon Buccola, chairman at Greenpoint and division CEO of Zodiac Aerospace Custom Cabin & Integration.
“It truly takes a partnership with every program to deliver outstanding interior completions on time. I am grateful for our team and their leadership, our many customers over the years, and I personally thank each one of them for their commitment towards Greenpoint’s success.”
When it was founded in 1987, by Buccola and John Broback, the company’s focus was on representing US-based completion centers in Latin America.
The company then took this work in-house, growing from interior reconfigurations to full completions on narrow-body aircraft for VIP and head-of-state customers. The company expanded into wide-body completions in 2007.
Key projects have included the first VVIP BBJ747-8 completion in 2014 (pictured), the first full VVIP BBJ787-8 completion in 2016, and a VIP BBJ777-200LR for Crystal AirCruises in 2017. The company is scheduled to deliver five more VVIP BBJ787 completions, in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
