The first ACJ TwoTwenty was recently delivered to Comlux at the Airbus Canada facilities in Mirabel, Canada, and has now arrived at Comlux’s site in Indianapolis, Indiana, for cabin completion.
Since its successful purchase at the Dubai Air Show 2021, the first ACJ TwoTwenty is now owned by Five, a Dubai-based group with verticals in real estate, hospitality, investments and philanthropy. Comlux Completion will engineer, fabricate and integrate the VIP cabin that Five selected from the multiple cabin arrangements and options available.
Comlux said that the ACJ TwoTwenty completion process incorporates the latest in 3D modelling technology. Comlux engineers have integrated the aircraft into a virtual reality system allowing customers to immerse themselves in the future cabin environment. Beyond aesthetics, the system provides virtual interactive capabilities and allows the interior to be analysed in terms of ergonomics, equipment functionality and maintainability.
“I am delighted to welcome home the first-ever ACJ TwoTwenty,” said Daron Dryer, CEO of Comlux Completion. “Our design and engineering teams have been working on the programme jointly with the ACJ team for more than two years and now, she is here! Thanks to the new virtual reality tool we have especially developed for this programme, the completion process will be the most efficient, stringent and reliable we have ever achieved, allowing us to guarantee an entry into service at the beginning of 2023. We could not dream of a better start in the new year!”
Comlux’s services for business aviation include aircraft sales and acquisitions, aircraft operations and charter management, cabin interiors, maintenance and upgrades.
