Airbus Corporate Jet Centre (ACJC) has delivered an ACJ319 to a government customer following a full cabin refurbishment, systems and connectivity upgrades that included fuselage modifications for antennas, and a 10-year C-Check. The project was completed in 12 months; the aircraft was at ACJC’s facility in Toulouse, France, for four months.
The aircraft’s IFEC systems were completely updated. ACJC installed a dual-broadband internet system, using an Inmarsat connection, to provide all 19 passengers with 1.2Mbps. This connectivity is strengthened by the two new satcom antennas installed by ACJC. The IFE upgrade includes new HD screens, AVOD, Blu-ray players and the possibility to stream IFE on iPads via a wi-fi network.
ACJC also implemented a new cabin configuration. This involved removing a lounge area to create a nine-seat passenger zone for delegations. The cabin offers a crew-rest and passenger area at the front, followed by a dining area, an office with a divan and club-two seats, and then a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The carpet, some upholstery and leather were also changed in line with a color scheme of beige and shades of dark red.
“At the beginning of this story, the customer chose ACJC so as to benefit from Airbus’s standards and quality. When its representative entered the cabin, he was sure he had made the right choice, expressing his satisfaction by saying that now it was like a totally new aircraft, a fully customized aircraft,” said Joël Frugier, general manager at ACJC. “ACJC has proven, one more time, its ability to offer its customers comprehensive and one-stop-shop nose-to-tail services, helping them to optimize their aircraft schedule.”
