A head-of-state customer has taken delivery of a BBJ737-700 “months ahead of schedule” following a VVIP completion by Aeria Luxury Interiors. It is the completion centre’s third custom VVIP completion.
The aircraft arrived at Aeria’s facility in San Antonio, Texas, in the second quarter of 2018. The layout includes a statement entryway and a private quarters with a VIP bedroom and en-suite lavatory, including a bidet and shower. The office quarters showcase large-scale furnishings including a custom handcrafted desk and a custom-made six-zone massage seat, which has been fully certified.
Staff and club-style seating make up the aft section of the aircraft. This area features the new Boeing Sky Interior, offering more head room. The jet accommodates 26 passengers. Aesthetically, the focus was on premium materials including exotic veneers, clean and crisp hues paired with chic accents, and gold-plated detailing, most notably on medallions placed throughout the cabin and intricate lattice detailing.
The aircraft is equipped with a single SSID wi-fi network, enabling the principal client to access the internet, email, cabin controls, video on-demand streaming and the Airshow mobile app from a single log-in; these capabilities are all built into one wireless network. The aircraft also features HD Airshow from Collins Aerospace, HD monitors throughout, and a Direct View Camera System. There is a custom display in the galley, plus viewing is also available on the touchscreen CMS panels.
“We are happy to reach our latest milestone since Aeria’s inception in 2012 with the early delivery of our third completions programme,” said Ron Soret, vice president and general manager at Aeria. “Our commitment to continuous improvement and product excellence has resulted in a successful VIP programme and is proving to set a new benchmark for customer expectations with each delivery. We look ahead to more exciting VIP completions projects in the near future that can further demonstrate Aeria’s capability in delivering each and every project on time or ahead of schedule without compromising quality or craftsmanship.”
Specialising in the completion and refurbishment of both Airbus and Boeing jets, Aeria’s facility incorporates backshops including a cabinetry, upholstery and sheetmetal shop, as well as a design showroom.
