Comlux America of Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, has completed the interior of an ACJ320 for a private customer. The completion center has now completed nine VIP interiors and four ACJ interiors since becoming an authorized service center for Airbus in 2010.
The company describes the ACJ320 as having “a modern interior balanced with a classic European flare”. Various shades of white and cream have been used, alongside dark veneer. Comlux Creatives led the design, under the direction of Lauri Church, and in partnership with Fiona Riddle of InFlight Cabin Solutions, the customer’s design representative.
“We worked closely with the customer and his family to create a beautiful, modern interior that has a residential feel,” said Riddle. “Each area has its own unique elements, while maintaining a muted color palate to allow the flow between rooms to feel natural and relaxing.”
The interior was designed to offer a family-friendly environment, with potential to also serve as an office. Facilities include a master suite, business-class seating, a forward lounge and a staff area. The noise level in the master bedroom is 45.4dB SIL.
The aircraft features a Venue IFE system including Airshow for real-time map and flight information. The IFE can be streamed wirelessly to iPads. The aircraft also features Quasar lighting, which Comlux says offers an infinitely variable color palette, including mood lighting.
“Since day one, we have been very engaged with the customer at every step on this program,” said Scott Meyer, CEO at Comlux America. “We were able to meet their individual tastes and needs while delivering a one-of-a-kind, modern, ACJ320 interior on time and at the highest level of quality. We continue to demonstrate that Comlux has a major worldwide presence in the completion industry. The completion of this aircraft, along with the arrival of our first VIP wide-body aircraft, an ACJ330, last month, further demonstrates the continued progression of our enterprise worldwide.”
