Just ahead of EBACE 2019 (held in Geneva, Switzerland, on May 21-23) Comlux announced it had completed its first VIP widebody cabin – an ACJ330. Both the interior design and the outfitting were handled by Comlux Completion in Indianapolis, Indiana. It is the company’s 12th interior completion overall – its back catalog of narrowbody completions includes the ACJ319, ACJ321, BBJ and BBJ3.
The ACJ330 has more than 200m² (2200ft²) of interior space, which Comlux has used to accommodate 31 passengers in various master suites, lounges, a dining area and first-class seating area. The aircraft is also equipped with a gym room and an entertainment area featuring a 52in curved OLED monitor.
“With our first widebody completion, we are now entering the club of the very few widebody-approved completion centers,” said Richard Gaona, executive chairman and CEO at Comlux. “With the new management team in place in Indianapolis, led by Domingo Ureña-Raso, executive president, and Daron Dryer, CEO, we are ready for the next challenges in the VIP completion industry. This ACJ330 is the perfect example of our competencies within the Comlux group, from transaction to completion and operations. Beyond interior outfitting by Comlux Completion, the aircraft was sold by Comlux Transactions to an undisclosed client in 2018 and Comlux Aviation has just started to operate the aircraft through its dedicated widebody AOC in Aruba, already operating two large VIP BBJ767 and BBJ777 aircraft.”
