West Star Aviation has announced the availability of a web-based communications portal for its customers. ServiceEdge provides for direct communication with the service teams working on an aircraft. The custom platform was developed with Corridor, a Camp Systems company.
Owners/operators will have instant access to work order quotes, job status updates and additional job approvals. Notifications will be sent via email, but chat options are also available on both desktop and mobile devices, all in real time. Future enhancements will include a direct connection from the mobile app for increased accessibility.
“ServiceEdge offers improved communication to our customers, delivering enhanced customer experiences while cultivating long-term relationships with our proven expertise,” said Matt Vogel, manager of IT at West Star’s site in Grand Junction, Colorado. “Customers will have direct access to maintenance status, along with aircraft photos for immediate service decisions, aiding in decreased downtimes.”
“Servicing business aircraft involves discerning customers, high-end assets and a vast array of options for components, services and alterations,” said Chris Kubinski, director of sales and marketing at Corridor. “Until ServiceEdge, traditional communication processes supporting the interaction between customer, service centres and their maintenance staff typically involved phone calls, emails and even faxes. Without ServiceEdge, this tedious back and forth communication made agreeing on change orders and approvals inefficient, frustrating, and often subject to misinterpretation.”
