Greenpoint Technologies has redelivered a VIP BBJ 777-200LR to Crystal AirCruises ahead of schedule, following an interior completion that began in August 2016. The completion of ‘Crystal Skye’ was conducted at Greenpoint’s facility at Moses Lake, Washington.
The aircraft features an expansive lounge conceived as a social and dining area, complete with divans, custom coved ceilings and dining tables. The central bar features stone veneer and colored LED lighting, and is finished with Crystal’s logo.
Seats on board are a customized version of Zodiac Aerospace’s Aura, with an increased seat width, customized privacy surround, four-way adjustable headrest and storage ottoman. When reclined into lie-flat position, the seats are 70.5in long.
“Crystal Skye beautifully complements all things Crystal, with its exclusively styled design and custom experience she will offer guests,” said Edie Rodriguez, CEO and president of Crystal.
“In all our pursuits, and particularly with Crystal Skye, creative collaboration has been an integral part of success. It has been wonderful to work with the experts at Greenpoint to conceive and create this aircraft’s exquisite interior design, as their team made our visions an astounding reality. As a global luxury traveler, I have been privileged to travel on board some of the world’s finest aircraft, and there is nothing like Crystal Skye around the world.”
Greenpoint credits early and close collaboration with Crystal with ensuring a smooth design process. “Our goal for this program was to create a luxurious interior showcasing the elegant brand Crystal established with its cruise ships, yachts and riverboats,” said Bret Neely, executive vice president at Greenpoint Technologies.
“Greenpoint is a company built on teamwork – both internally and externally with our customers. It was amazing to see the combined core team come together to focus on Crystal’s guest experience, resulting in the beautiful and functional interior we see today.”
