West Star Aviation has been recognised as a Gold Leader in the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environmental Leadership Program (ELP). It is the seventh consecutive year that the company has received the recognition.
The ELP is a state-wide recognition and reward programme offering benefits and incentives to members that go above and beyond compliance with state and federal regulations and are committed to continual environmental improvements. West Star Aviation entered the Colorado Governor’s ELP in October 2010, in addition to being a Western Slope leader, which assists other companies to successfully enter the programme. West Star shared that it continues to implement new ideas and innovations applicable to the programme and environmental efforts, focusing on continuing to grow as a sustainable green company.
“Each and every year we strive to be good stewards of the environment and it takes every team member contributing to the cause to achieve our continued success with this valuable environmental programme,” stated Kraig Meyer, director of environmental, health and safety at West Star Aviation’s site in Grand Junction, Colorado.
West Star Aviation specialises in the repair and maintenance of airframes, engines and APUs, avionics installations and repair, major modifications, interior refurbishment, exterior paint, accessory services and parts.
