The first BBJ Max 8 has arrived at Comlux Completion in Indianapolis, Indiana, for interior completion. It is the first such project worldwide on this aircraft type.
The aircraft, which has a USA-based owner, has already undergone exterior paint work. Comlux plans to deliver the completed aircraft before the end of 2019.
The cabin was designed by a New York based architect, Peter Marino, FAIA. He is the principle and founder of Peter Marino Architect (PMA), a 160-person firm. Marino’s work includes award-winning residential, retail, cultural and hospitality projects worldwide.
“We are honored to be selected by the first customer of the BBJ Max 8 program to complete their aircraft,” said Daron Dryer, CEO at Comlux Completion.
“Comlux has the ‘customer at heart’ in terms of bringing their expectations to life, which will truly be showcased and enhanced by the luxurious and unique designs of PMA.
“The arrival of the first Max 8, together with two more in 2020, further establishes Comlux as an industry leader and innovator in completions on next-generation aircraft.”
