A Bombardier Global 6000 has been fitted with Honeywell’s JetWave satcom system at Jet Aviation in Geneva, Switzerland – the company’s first such installation. A second Global 6000 JetWave project is set for May 2018.
The technology provides broadband connectivity using Inmarsat Aviation’s GX Ka-band network. This internet connection enables passengers and crew to make intercontinental calls, email, browse the web and stream live video.
“There is strong demand in business aviation for fast and reliable inflight wi-fi capability, which we are delighted to make possible in cooperation with Honeywell,” said Cyril Martiniere, vice president of regional operations for Europe and site operations leader/general manager of Jet Aviation’s Geneva MRO and FBO.
