Comlux America, of Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, has expanded its VIP completion hangar from 128,000ft² to 157,000ft², so that it can now accommodate one wide-body and up to four narrow-body aircraft simultaneously.
The company celebrated the expansion with an event on April 27, 2016, a year on from the ground breaking ceremony. Customers, representatives from OEMs and authorities, designers, suppliers, business partners and local political and airport officials joined Comlux America employees and the Comlux Group’s entire management team at the celebration.
Comlux America’s first wide-body completion project, an ACJ330, was inside the hangar for the event. This aircraft will be Comlux America’s 12th VIP completion overall. During the event the hangar also housed two BBJs (one in for completion and the other for maintenance), as well as one SBJ in completion.
“This is a major milestone in the development of Comlux America and the Comlux Group,” said Scott Meyer, CEO of Comlux America. “This event is a testament to our continued growing list of capabilities, and it further demonstrates our ability and willingness to adapt for future market opportunities. Comlux America will maintain its great reputation as one of the best completion and service centers in the world. We are looking forward to welcoming more wide-body customers in our facilities.”
