A BBJ3 has been delivered to its owner with a VIP interior designed and outfitted by Jet Aviation in Basel, Switzerland.
“It’s a blend of classic elements and contemporary detail, and completely tailored to the customer’s specific aesthetic requirements,” said Simon Thümmler, manager, interior design completions, Jet Aviation.
The aircraft has custom-made seating – leather divans and wingback armchairs in tones of red and blue populate the lounge and dining areas. These colors are repeated in the silk carpets. They feature an enlarged version of a vintage pattern – with a bright floral design at the center of each area, and neutral woolen borders.
Meanwhile, a more neutral background is provided by the natural and burr walnut tables, cabinets and credenzas, antiqued leather paneling, brushed antique gold finishes and Golden Sahara marble.
Designed to suit private and commercial operations, the aircraft features a forward lounge, a central master suite and private bathroom with full-height rain shower. An interconnected cinema (with 50in monitor) and dining room can be separated by activating electrochromatic glass panels. There is also business and economy seating in the aft section, finished in blue leather.
“Every element – from the custom-made seating to the monograms on the sheets – was carefully considered to add to the overall aesthetic,” said Thümmler.
