Jet Aviation’s MRO facility at Seletar Aerospace Park in Singapore has completed and delivered its second 8C inspection in 2016; as with the first aircraft, this was also a Bombardier Global Express XRS.
To minimize the aircraft’s downtime, the comprehensive heavy maintenance inspection – which requires dismantling, reassembly and landing gear overhaul – was done in conjunction with a full interior refurbishment.
The carpet, sidewalls and headliner were replaced, and the veneer was updated with a “richly stained and coated” quartered Mozambique in brown maple. The cabin was transformed with bespoke carpet designs, an unusual sidewall treatment and light neutral tones.
“The entire team handled this project with great enthusiasm and cohesion, and drew on their experience from the first 8C inspection completed earlier this year,” said John Riggir, vice president and general manager at Jet Aviation Singapore. “The result is impressive – another notable milestone for the Singapore team.”
