Two medevac conversion projects have recently been awarded to Jet Aviation’s facility in Basel, Switzerland. Work has already started on a Legacy 650 conversion for a customer in the Middle East, and the company will also convert a Legacy 600 for a customer in Asia.
The conversions will be approved through Jet Aviation’s EASA-Part 21 organization. Both aircraft will have dual medevac and VIP charter roles – the company says the conversion between configurations will be possible within a few hours.
In VIP charter mode, the Legacys will each accommodate 14 passengers. In medevac mode, the Legacy 650 will have four patient stretcher and loading systems, while the Legacy 600 will support two.
