Greenpoint Technologies has completed the world’s second VVIP BBJ 787-8 interior, creating a cabin with an open living space and private rooms – even including a gym with vaulted ceilings.
The grand master suite includes its own lounge and office, featuring material finishes including Calacatta Borghini marble, book-matched American walnut, and boucle hand-tufted carpet. The main lounge showcases a metallic glass tile wall, which Greenpoint says is the first of its kind to be certified on a 787, and embossed hand-tipped leather seats. The interior also includes extensive crew accommodations and large service galleys.
“Greenpoint’s goal was to provide our client with a modern, inviting interior that showcases best-in-class services on board,” said Annika Wicklund, design director at Greenpoint. “The interior offers functionality and adaptability while integrating the latest technology and luxuries experienced at the finest hotel. All of us at Greenpoint are grateful for the opportunity to partner with our client and we are honored to redeliver this beautiful BBJ 787 completion.”
“Delivering this second VVIP BBJ 787 is a monumental achievement for Greenpoint,” said Bret Neely, executive vice president at the company. “Teamwork and dedication led to the delivery of this beautiful interior, and ultimately mastering the BBJ 787-8 completion process and its advanced technology. This expertise is already flowing to our third and fourth BBJ 787 completions.”
