With its development of an STC, Pentastar Aviation has been authorized to install Securaplane Technologies’ CMX-HD camera system on Gulfstream GIV-X and GV-SP aircraft.
The camera can be installed on the vertical fin and fuselage belly. It includes a heated sapphire glass window designed to optimize imaging performance. As well as improving situational awareness, the system can be used for gear position viewing and incorporated into the IFE.
“The CMX-HD camera system developed by Securaplane allows our customers HD views during all phases of flight,” said Jesse Beard, avionics and engineering manager at Pentastar Aviation.
“Pentastar’s skilled and professional avionics, engineering, maintenance and contracts team performed flawlessly throughout their effort,” said Martin VanWinkle, STC program manager at Securaplane Technologies. “Their seamless relationship with the FAA, with their installation aircraft customer, and with the CMS OEM, was evident throughout the process.”
