328 Design (328DO) has achieved supplemental design organization approval (DOA) from the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The approval allows 328DO, a subsidiary of Sierra Nevada Corporation, to make changes and repairs approved for A6 (UAE) registered aircraft modifications without any limitations in avionic installations ranging from satcom installations to complete aircraft conversions. More than 200 supplemental type certificates (STC) are already managed by 328DO.
“This is a great achievement for the company as this approval allows 328 to further expand its activities into the very valuable aerospace market in the Middle East,” said 328DO head Jörg Gorkenant.
328DO is comprised of more than 40 designers, and 328 is currently working on an extended range of aircraft including VIP narrow- and wide-body aircraft and business jets.
With the new GCAA DOA approval, 328 Group is also offering new services to the civil aviation market, including first-, economy- and business-class parts and assembly manufacture.
