West Star Aviation’s facility in Perryville, Missouri, has a new environmental, health and safety (EHS) manager – Brian Chapman.
Chapman holds an Associate’s degree in aviation technology and has more than 20 years of fire safety experience and in excess of seven years of extensive environmental and safety experience. He is also a trained medical first responder, volunteer firefighter and training officer. Chapman is certified in OSHA 30, Level A Hazmat Responder, and has a background in NFPA codes and regulations.
“Brian brings an enormous amount of experience to the West Star team, and we are elated about him joining our ever-growing company,” said Kraig Meyer, director of EHS at the company’s site in Grand Junction, Colorado.
“I am looking forward to applying my vast skills at West Star and appreciate the opportunity to continue my career in an area that I am very passionate about,” said Chapman.
West Star Aviation specialises in the repair and maintenance of airframes, engines and APUs, avionics installations and repair, major modifications, interior refurbishment, exterior paint, accessory services and parts.
In addition to its sites in Perryville and Grand Junction, West Star Aviation’s other primary facilities are in East Alton (Illinois) and Chattanooga (Tennessee). The company also maintains satellite facilities in Aspen and Denver (Colorado), Chicago (Illinois), Houston (Texas) and Minneapolis (Minnesota). The company also provides complete FBO services for transient aircraft at its East Alton and Grand Junction facilities, as well as AOG/MRT services nationwide.
