Tulmar has introduced Hestia, a space-saving baby bassinet for aircraft cabins, engineered for infants up to 18kg (40 lbs). A smart turbulence function enables the bassinet to fold against the cabin wall, instantly freeing space.
Tulmar said Hestia achieves a 60% reduction in required cabin storage space compared with standard designs. Engineered and manufactured in Canada, the patented technology is also designed to combine enhanced safety and comfort and offer intuitive installation and crew-friendly features. It features a secure five-point harness, machine-washable fabrics and an optional canopy for added privacy.
“Hestia reflects our commitment to innovative design and operational efficiency,” said Patrick Phillips, VP of business development at Tulmar. “The smart turbulence function is a game-changer, allowing the bassinet to fold away neatly to maximise cabin space during critical moments. Coupled with its space-saving design that reduces storage needs by 60%, Hestia sets a new standard in both safety and convenience. This product is a clear answer to the challenges of modern air travel.”
Hestia is on display at Tulmar’s booth at Aircraft Interior Expo, held in Hamburg, Germany, on 8-10 April.
