The Russian State Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) has approved Jet Aviation’s maintenance facility in Vienna, Austria, to support aircraft registered in Russia, per its other approvals.
“This authorization can lend considerable comfort and convenience to Russian owners and operators flying in the region,” said Hakan Tin, managing director of the Vienna facility.
“We support many aircraft types currently registered in Russia, while our dedicated AOG team is highly trained to recover aircraft as quickly as possible.”
The Vienna MRO and FBO was established in September 2014 at Vienna International airport. The 4,000m² (43,056ft²) hangar facility includes 2,000m² (21,528ft²) of shops and office space.
It provides scheduled and unscheduled maintenance (as well as off-site AOG services) for Cessna Citation types. Line and base maintenance and AOG services are also provided to Bombardier Learjet 60 and Challenger 300/350/604/605 aircraft.
The Learjet 45, Challenger 650, Global 5000/6000, Global Express, Global Express XRS series and Gulfstream G550 are supported for line maintenance.
