F/List’s newest business unit, Metal, has received production organisation approval (POA) from Austrian aviation agency Austro Control.
The milestone means that the division is qualified in line with EASA Part-21, sub-part G and can issue an official release certificate for all components manufactured there for the aviation sector.
With the POA, Austro Control confirms that the company has the necessary qualified personnel; uses the required methods, processes and procedures; and implements reliable quality assurance.
“We are very pleased to have received POA approval for our business unit,” said Andreas Aigner, COO at F/List and head of the Metal business unit. “It means that we’re well prepared for the next growth phase.”
The approval covers the provisions of Class 2 – the manufacture of aircraft cabin components made of metal and/or composite panels with a decorative surface. This confirms that F/List’s Metal business unit has implemented a monitored quality assurance system that enables it to manufacture components under its sole responsibility, and to release them for installation in aircraft with an official release certificate (EASA Form 1) without any further inspection.
