Transport Canada recently granted Ramm Aerospace an STC for replacement crew seat cushions and dress covers for Bombardier DHC-8 100 and 300 model aircraft. This is one of many certification projects Ramm Aerospace has been working on since adding a full range of engineering capabilities in 2015.
“We decided to design the replacement crew seat cushion and dress covers so they can be installed in the pilot or co-pilot position, reducing the quantity of part numbers and inventory operators would have to stock,” said Michael Petsche, vice president of engineering at Ramm Aerospace. “Listening to our customers and making product improvements as we design and certify a kit is an important part of our development process.”
The products are offered as a completed assembly or as individual items. The dress covers are also compatible with other foam assemblies that are currently installed in the DHC-8 100 and 300 model aircraft.
