FAI rent-a-jet, a special-mission and VIP charter operator based in Germany, has acquired its second Premier 1A light jet on behalf of a corporate client.
It is anticipated that the Premier 1A will enter turnkey charter operations under management contract in June 2020 following a carbon fibre-style full cabin refurbishment and the application of new exterior paintwork. This latest addition will bring the company’s fleet to 27 jets.
The Premier 1A can accommodate six passengers and will feature a light grey leather interior and a layout featuring a four-seat club and two aft seats. In addition, onboard wi-fi internet/VoIP will be provided by Gogo’s Aviator 200 system.
“Having a second Premier 1A under management contract will enable FAI to expand its presence in the light jet charter sector and respond to the current increased demand in this segment,” said Siegfried Axtmann, chairman at FAI. “With the operating costs of a Citation jet and close to the cabin height and speed of a Learjet 60, the Premier 1A offers the perfect tool for entry-level jet travel.”
FAI’s Nuremberg-based fleet comprises six Global Express aircraft, a Challenger 850, six Challenger 604s, 12 Learjet 60s, a King Air 350 turboprop and now two Premier 1As.
