Planet Nine Private Air (P9PA), a USA-based charter specialist, has welcomed its third Falcon 7X. The company operates a fleet of Falcon 7X aircraft, all with refurbished cabins and wi-fi and IFE from Gogo/SwiftBroadband. The latest VIP jet has 16 seats.
The company has its headquarters at Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles, California, and a presence in New York and London, UK. The aircraft’s arrival rounds off a frenetic first six months for the operator, which was recently accredited with Wyvern Wingman status, under the new on-site flight leader program.
“We are very proud to have achieved our initial goal of introducing three newly refurbished 5,950-nautical-mile ultra-long-range Falcon 7X business jets into the market while at the same assembling a world-class group of pilots, crew members and operational ground support personnel since being awarded our Part 135 operating certificate in June,” said Matt Walter, co-founder and head of business development at P9PA.
“None of this would have been possible without the honest and impartial advice provided by Freestream CEO Alireza Ittihadieh, who successfully sourced, structured and negotiated all three aircraft transactions on behalf of P9PA,” said James Seagrim, director of operations at P9PA. “We are very grateful for his expertise and counsel.”
“James Seagrim and Matthew Walter over many years, built up a deserved and stellar reputation at Advanced Air Management for safety, quality and service in the ultra-long-range charter market,” said Ittihadieh. “It is no surprise to anyone that they have quickly bounced back with their new company.”
Obtaining Wyvern Wingman status in October 2018 was a very pleasing endorsement, said P9PA’s CFO, Bill Wulf, who previously spent 23 years at NetJets in various leadership roles. “As a group of dedicated aviation professionals, we are pleased to be accredited so early in our history, fulfilling Wyvern’s rigorous safety and maintenance requirements,” he said.
The Wyvern endorsement recognizes P9PA’s “delivery of consistent and exceptional service and acknowledges the business has the infrastructure to support over 20 aircraft with a best-in-class finance function to deliver a seamless flight experience to their clientele”.
“Planet Nine has demonstrated a commitment to safety through its established safety management system,” said Sonnie Bates, CEO of Wyvern. “In its quest to successfully achieve Wingman Certified status they have embraced The Wingman Standard, and proven they go above and beyond minimum regulatory requirements, allowing them to become an industry leader in safety culture.”
