Katharina List-Nagl, CEO of F/List, has been announced as Austria’s EY Entrepreneur Of The Year in the Industry & High-tech category. The award was presented by auditing firm Ernst & Young on October 12, 2018. She will now go on to represent the country at the World Entrepreneur Of The Year Award 2019.
“I am very proud to receive this prestigious award and the advancement of our family-run business from a small carpentry workshop with five joiners to a globally active group with 750 employees,” said List-Nagl. “It is a great honor and a wonderful challenge to represent Austria at the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2019 in Monte Carlo on an international level.”
EY has honored entrepreneurs in 60 countries for exceptional achievements for more than 30 years. List-Nagl prevailed from a list of 15 finalists in the Industry & High-tech category. The jury made its selection based on entrepreneurial performance, business development, innovative power, leadership and future sustainability of the company.
List-Nagl represents the third generation to run F/List, which makes interiors for business and private jets, yachts and residences, and is headquartered in Lower Austria. From a small joinery founded in 1950 with five employees, F/List has developed into a multinational group of companies that serves customers in 33 countries. List-Nagl played a major role in this story. After her economics degree with majors in management, organizational and HR consulting, market communications and sales, she gained international work experience, including a position with Hugo Boss in Spain. In 2004, she joined F/List, which was then headed by her father. She held positions in all departments of the company and played a leading role in driving its growth.
The mother of two has acted as CEO since 2009. Since she entered the company in 2004, F/List’s turnover has increased almost tenfold. The group now generates a turnover of €60m (US$70m) and employs more than 750 staff.

We are delighted that Katharina List-Nagl will represent Austria at the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year 2019 in Monte Carlo.”
