FAI rent-a-jet plans to show off its first Bombardier Challenger 850 on the static display at the Bahrain International Airshow, to be held on November 14-16, 2018. The multirole aircraft has a three-zone, 14-seat VIP layout, and can also be configured for medevac. It is available for charter from its base in Nuremberg, Germany.
“We are very proud to make our debut at this exciting show and present our first Challenger 850 model,” said Siegfried Axtmann, chairman of FAI Aviation Group. “It’s comfortable three-zone cabin is as roomy as a Global Express with low operating costs comparable with a Challenger 605. This aircraft is perfect for luxury VIP travel at a competitive price and I am confident that it will appeal to potential clients in the Middle East market.”
The aircraft is the newest member in the company’s 25-strong fleet. FAI has 10 aircraft operating under management. The company will also promote the expansion of FAI Technik, its dedicated maintenance division in Nuremberg, which specializes in MRO services for Bombardier business jets.
FAI has heightened interest in the region, having welcomed its strategic new investor from Bahrain in 2017 – The Mumtalakat Holding Company, the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
