Greenpoint Technologies and Greenpoint Aerospace have recognized four employees in its 2017 Teamwork Awards. The winners were nominated by their peers.
The overall Teamwork Award winner for 2017 is Riza Koropchak, a design engineer. Koropchak was praised for consistently providing continuous improvement feedback and being eager to receive it, as well as for “empowering and developing coworkers”, leading team building events, and for her work in training and mentoring new recruits.
A colleague said, “I met Riza on my first day, and since the beginning she made me feel welcome, like I was already part of the team.”
Another award winner is Steven Lathrop, a materials planning supervisor and internal business management system auditor. He was recognized for his constructive feedback, troubleshooting and proactive communication across facilities. Colleagues also noted Lathrop is “never too busy to help”, calls successes ‘team wins’ and follows up to ensure goals are met.
Meanwhile, Todd Omert a production supervisor at Greenpoint’s cabinetry facility in Denton, Texas, was awarded for suggesting engineering process improvements, promoting team building and leading external community service projects. A colleague said, “Todd is a cheerleader for Greenpoint and invigorates the team. His influence is highly valued.”
Zach LaRue, a maintenance technician, was recognized for regularly volunteering to work extra hours and support new programs. Greenpoint described LaRue as being eager to enhance his skills, promote camaraderie and offer help and feedback to colleagues.
As well as having their names added to a plaque in Greenpoint’s lobby, the award winners receive a bonus and a trophy.
