AviationGlass & Technology has received ISO9001:2008 certification. The quality management certification enables the company to register for the aviation industry’s AS9100 standard. This latest certification adds to the STC and Production Organization Approval issued by EASA earlier in 2015.
AviationGlass & Technology received the ISO 9001:2008 certificate from Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), a global provider of independent assessment services. The independent audit examined the company’s processes as well as its organizational structure.
“This ISO9001:2008 certification is crucial as it allows us to pursue our registration to the AS9100 standard next year,” said John Rietveldt, CEO at AviationGlass & Technology.
“AS9100 is a contractual requirement for the supplier base of aerospace OEMs, and with safety and quality top of mind, we are committed to delivering superior glass products for cabin interiors by operating in accordance with the industry’s best practices. ISO9001-2008 certification is a solid step forward in assuring the industry that we are fully focused on our customers and able to achieve continuous improvement. At the same time, it puts us firmly on the map as an approved global supplier to the aviation industry.”
