New additions to Flight Display Systems’ range of displays include two new Edge Series 4K HD displays. Measuring 2in thick, the Edge Series 4K displays are designed to offer enhanced image quality with increased color accuracy, contrast and clarity. The displays provide a 3840 x 2160 4K resolution to reproduce more than one billion colors.
Flight Display Systems first introduced 4K displays for business and private aircraft in 2013. Initially, the Edge Series 4K displays will be available in 27in and 32in screen sizes.
The company also recently introduced the Edge Series HD range – a line of 1in-thick, fanless full HD displays. Flight Display Systems says these deliver a true 1080p resolution at 60Hz, and are designed to deliver superior picture quality with increased contrast, brightness and brilliant color. Initially, the displays will be available in 17in, 22in and 32in versions.
The company says all its new displays have been engineered from the ground up to meet and exceed the most rigorous standards. The new displays offer flexible installation configurations from flush to proud. An optional front bezel attaches securely with magnets and can be custom finished upon request.
