Alto Aviation has unveiled a fit-compatible CMS solution for the retrofit market. The Alto Cadence Switch System (CSS) includes modular switch panels and uses discrete logic and basic software. Old or broken switches can be replaced while furnishing and veneers are preserved.
“One of the key features of this CMS is modularity,” said Kevin Hayes, vice president of sales and marketing at Alto Aviation. “This approach allows us the ability to phase the upgrades based on scope and budget.”
Switch panels can be upgraded to include USB charging and an HDMI input. CSS can be used to control cabin aspects including audio, HD video, temperature, lighting, window shades, galley and lavatory functions and to call an attendant. Alto is also developing a smartphone/PED app, which should be available in 2019.
Alto Aviation designs and manufactures everything from passenger controls to relay and climate controllers, audio systems, interface electronics and accessories.
It also can provide integration with third-party HD monitors, audio/video distribution and A/V source equipment.
