Gogo Business Aviation has unveiled a customizable suite of cabin, IFE and voice solutions – SCS Elite and SCS Media – which are scheduled to begin shipping in July 2017.
With SCS Elite, passengers can access the internet, CMS and Gogo Vision content (moving maps, movies, TV, news and weather) as well as make and receive phone calls – through one interface.
The system features an 802.11 AC router designed for improved wi-fi performance (2.4GHz+ 5.0GHz), WAN management, and multi-bearer data and voice management (Gogo, Inmarsat, Iridium). There is a terrestrial modem to enable free 4G on-ground connectivity for passengers in more than 120 countries, and one-touch access for popular CMS systems via the Gogo interface. Gogo also offers 24/7/365 monitoring and support, remote maintenance, inflight and on-ground diagnostics.
The system can be installed in virtually any size business aircraft and works across ATG and satellite systems. It will be available on production Embraer Lineage 1000E aircraft from later in 2017.
Meanwhile, SCS Media provides a standalone solution that enables customers to access inflight maps and Gogo Vision IFE on their personal devices.
The wireless infotainment system does not require connectivity. There is an integrated wireless access point, which is optimized for streaming video. An automated content delivery service is available through Gogo Cloud, worldwide. Again, Gogo offers remote maintenance, diagnostics and support.
