Alpha Star Aviation is to be Airbus Corporate Jets’ launch customer for the ACJ Smart LiFi Monitor, a new IFE technology.
The letter of agreement was signed in the presence of Abdulnaser Al Kheraif, CEO of Alpha Star Aviation, Ibrahim Al Yaheyan, vice president of tech at Alpha Star Aviation, and Benoit Defforge, ACJ president.
Developed with Latecoere, this new technology was designed to be an easy plug-and-play solution. It is a multi-technology smart 4K monitor offering wi-fi, Bluetooth and li-fi connectivity. Li-fi is a wireless communication technology that uses light to transmit data. Among others it will allow analog and digital audio output, USBc ports and 3G-SDI input, as well as HDMI connections. Features include AVOD, casting, mirroring, web browser, live TV, moving map and its own integrated video conferencing.
Alpha Star Aviation is a private aviation services provider headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The company selected 12 monitors for three of its Airbus corporate jets.
