DC Aviation has upgraded a Global 5000 with the Gogo Elite Smart Cabin System (SCS Elite), along with Inmarsat SwiftBroadband high-data-rate (HDR) service and a new satcom system. The project means passengers can now control the cabin environment through a single interface, and benefit from improved data transmission rates.
“With the installation of the Smart Cabin System, we offer our customers the highest level of functionality and comfort,” said Jürgen Sehne, vice president of maintenance and CAMO at DC Aviation. “Thanks to our network, we have products that are technologically state-of-the-art and our know-how enables us to install them in a wide range of aircraft types.”
DC Aviation emerged in 2007 from the former DaimlerChrysler Aviation, a DaimlerChrysler subsidiary that was founded in 1998. It has branches in Dubai, UAE; Malta; Moscow, Russia; and Paris, France. The company’s services range from aircraft management and charter to the maintenance of business jets and handling services. Its fleet includes Cessna Citation XLS+, Gulfstream G650 and ACJ319 types. In March 2016, DC Aviation expanded its operating license to include the commercial use of helicopters.
