Fractional aircraft provider Airshare has chosen Gogo Avance L3 – the latest light jet connectivity solution from Gogo Business Aviation – for its fleet of 11 Embraer Phenom 100 jets.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Airshare to bring connectivity and IFE to its travelers,” said David Salvador, vice president of aftermarket sales at Gogo Business Aviation. “Avance L3 is a proven solution and is ideal for mid and lighter jets, bringing connectivity to the cabin at an affordable price.”
Airshare’s fleet also includes Embraer Phenom 300s, many of which are equipped with Gogo connectivity systems. Airshare has also committed to installing Avance L5 on all new Phenom 300 aircraft it adds to the fleet in the future.
“We strive to provide the most outstanding flight experience for our customers, and they expect to have excellent connectivity while in the air,” said Harry Mitchel, chief operating officer at Airshare. “Gogo’s Avance L3 and L5 are a perfect fit for us. Their innovative systems are reliable and scalable, while also allowing us to affordably meet the connectivity needs of our customers.”
Avance L3 is designed to deliver the benefits of the Gogo Avance platform in a small, lightweight form factor, with affordable pricing options. Gogo’s technology platform enables users to customize their inflight experience, and can be installed on business aircraft of all types and sizes, but is particularly suitable for smaller aircraft including turboprops and light jets.
Using Avance L3, passengers can stay connected to email, send text messages and make voice calls with Gogo Text & Talk (with a service plan), or access flight apps including moving maps, weather and flight information. For customers looking for full internet connectivity, Avance L3 can be enabled to connect to the Gogo Biz data network, delivering a 3G experience. Three service offerings – Core, Plus, Max – deliver options for performance and number of users.
The Gogo Avance L3 system operates over the Gogo Biz network, which delivers a 3G experience covering the USA and portions of Canada and Alaska. Thousands of business aviation travelers use this network every day.
