The Embraer Engineering and Technology Center (EETC) in Melbourne, Florida, has developed an STC to enable the Gogo Avance L5 4G inflight internet solution to be installed on the Phenom 300 and Phenom 300E. The solution offers coverage over the USA, parts of Canada and Alaska. It is available for installation by Embraer service centers worldwide.
As well as new installations, Gogo Avance L5 is suitable to replace an existing ATG system. It operates over the Gogo Biz 4G network and enables passengers to stream audio and video, in addition to offering the traditional moving maps and flight information.
The Phenom 300E light jet offers a six-occupant range of 1,971 nautical miles (3,650km) with NBAA IFR reserves. It features the Embraer DNA cabin design, seats that offer recline and full movement, distinct temperature zones for pilots and passengers, a wardrobe and refreshment center, voice and data communications options and an entertainment system.
Embraer also says the Phenom 300E has the largest baggage compartment and largest windows in its category, and highlights the aircraft’s pressurization (6,600ft maximum cabin altitude).
