A connectivity solution consisting of wi-fi access, wireless and wired Ethernet, satellite broadband and PED integration has been delivered by IDAIR for a head-of-state B787.
“IDAIR continues to demonstrate the flexibility of its product and service portfolio from standalone to fully integrated IFEC/CMS systems on narrow- and wide-body aircraft alike,” said Dr Wassef Ayadi and Alan Cumming, managing directors of IDAIR. “Each customer enjoys individual tailored service providing the best solution possible, fully utilizing the expertise of IDAIR and its business partners.”
In other news, the company has secured an order for two more B777 projects, from an undisclosed end customer. It follows the successful delivery of two other B777s in the second half of 2018.
The tailored IFE/CMS solution includes 4K UHD displays, overhead surround and in-seat audio, window shade control, a dynamic lighting system, a moving map, AVOD and more. All this is complemented by a graphical user interface designed to allow passengers and crew to control the cabin intuitively, with seamless accessibility from mobile devices.
“This award underlines the positive results of our previous installations and deliveries and on behalf of all in the company I would like to express our profound gratitude for the trust of our customers and partners in helping shape the continued success of IDAIR,” said Cumming.
