Alto Aviation, a specialist in cabin audio and passenger control systems for business aircraft, has developed a Cadence direct replacement/upgrade programme for retrofit Falcon 900B, older Gulfstream GIV, and other aftermarket aircraft equipped with non-serviceable Baker DECU switch panels.
The Cadence solution, made in the USA, replaces and upgrades the Baker DECU with a drop-in, fit-compatible unit that does not require wood modifications. The replacement upgrades functionality by adding USB-A or USB-C charging ports, 15W, 3A output. The existing wiring may power the charging ports, pending wire gauge and circuit breaker review. The new unit utilises True Blue Power TA-202 supply with limited lifetime warranty.
The design covers up the screws held in the unit. Clear or black anodised bezels are available at no additional charge. Read table and the option for Bluetooth headphones are available. Pending production loading, the Cadence panel replacement may be supplied in two weeks or less.
“Alto saw an opportunity to provide customers with a viable alternative to the obsolete Baker DECU,” said Kevin Hayes, vice president of sales and marketing. “This Alto solution transforms a non-functional unit into a customer-valued-added USB-A or USB-C charging port. Utilising Alto’s direct fit-compatible approach, the Cadence replacement fits into the same cut-out and may use the same wiring that powered the DECU unit. In addition, the replacement is installation-friendly and increases user value by adding USB charging within the same profile.”
