Sabena technics, in collaboration with Honeywell, has launched a development and certification program for the installation of Honeywell’s Ka-band JetWave satcom hardware on a wide-body aircraft owned by a VIP customer.
Honeywell’s JetWave exclusively supports Inmarsat’s forthcoming Jet ConneX (JX) connectivity service, which is scheduled to go live early in the second half of 2015. It is designed to provide aircraft with fast, consistent inflight wi-fi virtually anywhere in the world.
A broad range of customized service packages will be available to Sabena technics’ current and future customers, applicable to any VIP aircraft type and enabling them to select a suitable internet communication speed for their mission.
