Following STC approval, Textron Aviation can now offer a Gogo Avance L5 connectivity upgrade for the Cessna Citation X.
The company says the solution delivers faster connectivity and more network capacity. Passengers can stream live video and audio, watch movies on demand and use their smartphones, while the system also enables real-time data for cockpit apps.
Incorporating dual-band 802.11ac wi-fi service, Avance L5 provides connectivity over the continental USA and a lot of Canada and Alaska, working through the Gogo Biz 4G ground network.
“Increased wi-fi connectivity continues to be one of the most requested aftermarket solutions from our customers,” said Kriya Shortt, senior vice president, customer service.
“Now, with the Gogo Avance L5 upgrade for the Citation X, customers gain the most modern connectivity solution available, allowing them to stay connected, whether in the air or on the ground.”
Textron Aviation plans to offer the system to other Citation, Beechcraft King Air and Hawker types soon.
