Immersive IFE specialist SkyLights is exploring how to enhance wellness on long-haul flights, working with StoryUP XR, which makes the Healium meditation channel.
Healium is designed to combat stress using virtual and augmented reality in conjunction with user biometrics. It offers interactive VR mindfulness content driven by the user’s brain and heart activity, which are monitored by a wireless headband or other wearables.
Healium points to studies recently published by Frontiers in Psychology and the NeuroRegulation journal on Healium’s ability to reduce moderate anxiety and increase feelings of positivity.
SkyLights and StoryUP XR have started working towards integrating Healium with SkyLights’ Allosky headsets.
