After an “extensive cabin upgrade”, FAI rent-a-jet will offer an ACJ319 for lease and ad-hoc charter from early 2018. The aircraft will feature 29 VIP seats, a VIP bathroom with shower, high-speed connectivity and wireless iPad control functionality. Its five extra fuel tanks will enable a range of more than 5,000 nautical miles.
The aircraft was built in 2001. It is anticipated that maintenance will be provided by FAI Technik.
“While there is plenty of supply in the charter market up to 19 passengers, we have something very unique in this class with our 29-seat layout,” said Siegfried Axtmann, chairman at FAI.
“The ACJ will be excellent for corporate shuttles, groups, music and sports tours, and conference and incentives – where we can fully brand the aircraft. This aircraft became available recently (it was previously under bank ownership) and we are delighted to add it to our growing fleet and move into a new market.”
The ACJ will be the largest aircraft in FAI’s fleet. Based in Nuremberg, Germany, this 25-strong fleet includes four Global Express aircraft, six Challenger 604s, 11 Learjet 60s, a Learjet 55, a Premier 1A and a King Air 350.
