Qatar Airways is to add an all-premium A319 to its corporate jet fleet. The Premium One A319 is identical to Qatar Airways’ Business One product, which operates on a daily basis between Doha, Qatar, and London Heathrow, UK. It will be available for charter from February 17, 2015, through the airline’s corporate jet division, Qatar Executive.
The cabin features 40 seats in a 2-2 configuration. The seats convert into 79in-long fully flat beds, and are finished with Italian Frette linen and duvets. Each seat is equipped with power outlets, a USB port, audio sockets and LED lighting. Passengers have access to wi-fi and GSM services. The Oryx IFE system features the same movie, music and game options available on Qatar Airways’ scheduled flights – more than 1,000 choices. There are also noise-cancelling headphones.
Qatar Executive’s A319 has a range of 3,700 nautical miles and can be booked with a completely customized schedule. The Premium One charter service also includes access to executive airport facilities and concierge services.
“We look forward to meeting the requirements of private customers, corporations and luxury tour operators with this exclusive product,” said David Edwards, Qatar Executive’s executive vice president. “Demand for business-class group travel has increased and this aircraft is ideally positioned to fill the gap in the market, particularly in the Middle East region.”
Qatar Executive also operates a wholly owned fleet of eight Bombardier business jets, including four Global 5000s and three Challenger 605s.
