NetJets’ custom-built Signature Series Challenger 650 was on static display at NBAA 2015, held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, on November 17-19. The aircraft is due to enter service imminently. It will also be Bombardier’s 1,000th Challenger 600 series aircraft to enter service.
The NetJets Signature Series Challenger 650 was designed with a number of unique features, including a next-generation IFE system and hand-selected wood veneers, carpeting and leather upholstery accented by color schemes designed to ensure a modern, clean and consistent look across the entire Signature Series fleet.
The first Signature Series Challenger 650 is part of an original NetJets order announced in June 2012 for 100 Challenger aircraft with options for an additional 175 aircraft. NetJets also placed a firm order for 50 Global jets with options for an additional 70 aircraft in March 2011. Following the announcement of the Challenger 650’s certification by Transport Canada on November 9, 2015, Bombardier received FAA certification shortly thereafter.
The medium-category Challenger 650 offers a range of 4,000 nautical miles. Highlights include redesigned seats and galley, CMS, HD monitors, AVOD, Bluetooth integration and connectivity.
