HAECO Private Jet Solutions (HAECO PJS), HAECO Group’s cabin completion specialist, has launched Zen, a narrow-body cabin concept. The design takes its inspiration from the Buddhist practice of Zen, encompassing harmony, relaxation and balanced living. In modern Mandarin, the word also stands for wisdom and tranquility. The concept is designed to be elegant, contemporary and timeless, with a symmetrical layout. “The Zen cabin design provides insights into what a relaxing and versatile cabin may look like,” said Henry Chan, vice president, commercial, at HAECO PJS.
The designers have incorporated colors representing the four seasons. The lounge features light green furniture and a cherry blossom motif, symbolizing the spring, hope and vitality. Summer, passion and confidence are represented by the lotus flower and red carpet in the galley. The dining and tatami area is designed to capture the tranquility of autumn, and is decorated with a chrysanthemum floral pattern symbolizing harvest. Pure white and plum blossoms are used in the bedroom, the aim being to create a relaxing hint of winter.
To create an open atmosphere, the designers created a natural, free-flowing layout. One of the most unique features is the multi-purpose table in the tatami area, which can be used as a mahjong table, a tea table and a tatami bed.
