Textron Aviation has delivered the first Cessna Citation Longitude registered in Mexico to a customer who plans to use it for business travel throughout Mexico and North America.
The super-midsize business jet received certification from the Mexican Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC) in 2022.
The Longitude is the flagship of the Citation family of business jets. Textron Aviation recently announced that the 100th production unit of the Longitude rolled out of the factory and is expected to deliver later this year.
The Longitude is designed to offer a quiet cabin and a low cabin altitude (1,509m/4,950ft). It offers a stand-up, 6ft-tall flat-floor cabin with seating for up to 12 passengers, including an optional crew jump seat. Fully berthable seats are designed and manufactured in-house, and a walk-in baggage compartment is accessible throughout the flight. Passengers can manage their environment and entertainment from a mobile device.
The aircraft has a range of 6,482km (3,500 nautical miles) and a full fuel payload of 726kg (1,600 lb). It is powered by FADEC-equipped Honeywell HTF7700L turbofan engines. Textron Aviation’s full-time diagnostics recording system (AReS) and 3D Technical Publications are designed to reduce maintenance downtime and overall costs to operation.
