Gulfstream has delivered the 400th aircraft from the ultra long-range G650 family, which is to be based in the US.
The G650ER, which entered service just five years ago, offers passengers both style and comfort with a cabin featuring 100% fresh air, the lowest cabin altitude in business aviation, quiet sound levels and 16 large windows.
The G650 can fly up to 7,000 nautical miles/12,964 kilometres at Mach 0.85 and 6,000nm/11,112km when flying faster at a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90. It can also fly up to 7,500nm/13,890 km at the same long-range cruise speed and 6,400nm/11,853 km at Mach 0.90.
Both aircraft are capable of a near-supersonic maximum operating speed of Mach 0.925 and have a maximum cruise altitude of 51,000 feet/15,545 metres.
Mark Burns, president at Gulfstream, said, “Business jet travellers the world over have long recognised the G650ER as the leading combination of speed and range in the business aviation sector.
“Its achievements and accolades have only mounted since its introduction, including an incredible 100-plus city-pair speed records, the prestigious Robert J. Collier Trophy and the title for the farthest, fastest business jet flight in history. We could not be more pleased to deliver the 400th aircraft in the G650 and G650ER fleet.”
