Alto Aviation, supplier of certified cabin audio systems and cabin control equipment for business aircraft, has expanded its components portfolio with the development of a new communication/audio system specifically designed for cargo freighter conversions.
Alto Aviation has a long history in providing flight deck and cabin passenger address (PA) audio systems to business jet OEMs, as well as to rotor-wing aircraft for search and rescue. Most recently, Alto teamed up with a specialist in cargo freighter conversions to design and provide the communication/audio system for the loading crews on a B777-300ER cargo freighter. Alto shared that in this highly noisy environment, clear communication and intelligible audio are key to ensuring the safety of the loading crews in the aircraft, as well as on the ground. The solution is available and customisable for Boeing, Airbus, and other aircraft.
Using Alto’s Alto Public Address PA-100 amplifier, Alto Relay Controller RC-1054 model, a noise-reduction microphone, and Alto loudspeakers, the Loadmaster station near the main loading door can communicate with any or all of the eight loading stations along the length of the aircraft. The flight deck can also call and communicate with the loading crew.
Alto said that proprietary Advanced Digital Signal Processing, noise reduction, and low distortion circuitry ensure that everyone can be heard and understood in this noisy and hectic environment.
“As part of our customer-centric mission, we are always finding new and effective ways to provide solutions that solve all our customers’ needs,” said Mark Cook, director of business development at Alto Aviation. “We are happy to bring an intercom solution for our customers specialised in cargo conversions by offering them a reliable system with unrivalled Alto audio quality that contributes to safety and communication efficiency.”
