As MedAire celebrates its 30th anniversary it will also launch its latest offering for the business and general aviation market. Rolling out worldwide in June, MedAire’s 2015 edition of its signature Management of In-flight Illness and Injury course (MIII) combines initial and recurrent training designed to help meet the needs of a busy flight crew.
The course curriculum has been restructured based on the latest aviation regulatory and medical guidelines, customer and instructor feedback, as well as new products and services available to support travel safety. Students will be offered a modified learning methodology with increased focus on scenario-based training, including six new situational videos and more collaboration with fellow crewmembers to share personal experience. In addition, several new modules, as well as best practices on fatigue management and fitness for duty have been added. The MedAire Trip Ready app has been integrated.
“Building on three decades of experience and more than 200,000 inflight medical emergencies, MedAire understands the unique needs and challenges impacting the aviation industry,” said Bill Dolny, CEO of MedAire. “We remain committed to continually improving the quality of our training and delivering a superior education product.”
