Comlux Completion of Indianapolis, Indiana, has a new executive president – Domingo Ureña Raso.
“After 10 years, Comlux Completion is moving one step ahead, becoming the new reference in cabin completion and services for ACJs, BBJs and Bombardier business aircraft,” said Richard Gaona, executive chairman and CEO at Comlux.
“With his industrial knowledge and leading experience in aviation, Domingo has been selected by the board of directors of Comlux to lead Comlux Completion together with our new CEO Daron Dryer.
“Since Domingo joined the board of directors of the Comlux Group in 2016, he has brought innovative ideas which have helped us to develop our business. He has proposed the implementation of new technologies in our cabin completion activities, which always requires the highest efficiency in terms of quality, lead time and cost control.”
Ureña Raso, a 38-year veteran of the aerospace industry, graduated from the Polytechnic University of Madrid with a degree in technical aeronautical engineering. Prior to becoming president of Mecanizados y Montajes, he served as president and CEO of Airbus Military and Airbus in Spain and was an Airbus executive committee member.
During his mandate at Airbus, Ureña Raso also defined and implemented the Airbus efficiency improvement program Power8. Comlux describes him as a “multicultural entrepreneur” who launched and developed companies such as PZL in Poland and Aircelle in France.
“It is an honor for me to be part of such an innovative company as Comlux Completion and to lead it to its next phase of expansion,” said Ureña Raso. “I am looking forward to working closely with Daron and the team in Indianapolis to develop our unique savoir-faire and to exceed our customers’ expectations.”
